Michael Michele Early Life

Michael was born on August 30, 1966, in Evansville, Indiana. Her father is Italian, while her mother is Black American. Michele went to high school in Evansville and came from a working-class household. Before deciding to focus solely on acting, she eventually attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she studied pre-med and psychology.

When Michele scored a recurring part on the daytime soap series All My Children, her career officially got underway in the late 1980s. She portrayed Robin Scorpio in the program, which led to her receiving a Daytime Emmy nomination in 1990. With her breakthrough on All My Children, Michele started to have more possibilities in cinema and television. 1992’s criminal thriller New Jack City, in which Michele featured with Wesley Snipes and Ice-T, was one of her most noteworthy cinematic appearances.

She portrayed Selina, the character’s girlfriend, and received praise for the part from the critics. In films like How to Be a Player and Ali, she continued to act throughout the 1990s.
